My GSD nips only me! HELP!?

My puppy is currently teething now too and I had the same problem. I found that the best way to stop her was to firmly say "NO" every time she did and spritz her with water. Eventually just saying "NO" stopped her in her tracks. There are also plenty of chew toys specifically made for teething puppies, and having them around the house also helps. It's only been a week but she now only nips when she can't find her chew toys, and usually only once to get my attention.

Black Widow Infestation?

When we were setting up a pool and moved the greenhouse we found a black widow spider crawling up the side. Then we found one in the dirt, then one on the ground, and another one on the side. I would recommend you ASUS G73SW-A1 laptop has performed well since I got it. I did have a slight problem with the Asus update utility but other than that I absolutely love it. It runs much cooler than I expected it to and I find that as long as I give it some space in the back it keeps the case cool to the touch.

I kind of want it now because I'm impatiant and even if another iPhone comes out I don't think it'll be that major of an upgrade, kind of like the 3G and the 3Gs. I am torn between both of these phones. The Atrix packs a 1GHz dual core processor with 1GB of ram, but it's qHD display is a bit washed out in color. I received Social Security disability same day as widow's benefits?

The day I went before the judge for my social security disability, I was awarded it, plus as my husband died 3 months before, I was awarded widow's benefits at same time. I was 57 at the time and my husband died at age 63. I get 2 checks of which one is under my SS# for $627 and another check from my husbands's (I guess this is my widow's benifits) for $285. My husband made much more than I ever made. It seems that I should be getting more from my husbands for my widow's benefits. I've called several times and always get the run around--usually hung up on as they transfer me to someone else. I also received disability from my work, which I was sent a lump sum, but had to return all but 400 of it back as they said they had overpaid me for the years I received it. This was from where I had worked. I sent them the check back. I really don't understand why my check would be higher than my widow's check. Does this seem right? Why is my computer slower than normal?

I've been able to play League of Legends when my computer (fujitsu lifebook ah530) was new on decent graphics no problem. Now, it seems like it just refuses to run like before with a frame rate of 2 fps at lowest setting. This computer should easily run this game. I have resorted to even system restoring it and it still runs slow. What Could I have Done Differently?

My Guinea Pig sow died Saturday from childbirth. I'm not sure exactly how old she was, but my guess is 7 months or so. She had two still born pups on Friday night at 9:30 pm- they were obviously under-developed because they had no hair, fused eyelids and ear buds that were not fully formed. After she had them, I removed them from the cage to let her rest...but I saw no blood, placenta or cords of any kind. The next day she was lethargic and obviously in pain. I noticed some bloody discharge in her cage. I wrapped her in a towel and put a hot compress on her to try to induce the discharge of the placenta and rubbed her belly gently. She seemed septic already and was shivering, and I though of giving her infants tylenol susp.-but I didn't want to give her anything that could damage her liver. My only thought was if the placenta didn't come out, or another pup was in there...she would die of sepsis. So, I put gentle pressure on her belly right above her vagina and held onto the cord coming out of her, but didn't tug or pull...yet she died on my lap after about a minute of trying at around 4pm, less than 24 hours after giving birth. I find it hard to believe she was that septic already. Was it me pulling the cord? Maybe the babies were dead for awhile and she was septic from that to begin with? I have no experience with this and her widow will remain alone because I DO NOT want to deal with this again. Does anyone have any input? Is this common?

Am I able to do something about lace front wig that looks really fake after shaving my head?

My hair was badly damaged from over-treatment and breaking off, so I decided to get a wig and shave it off. Well, I bought a lace front wig that looked decent in the store (before shaving). Now when I put it on, the hairline looks really fake. It's a light brown/blonde color and I'm wearing a black wig cap underneath. First of all I'm so sorry to hear that for you, your son, and your family :( Second, I believe you did the right thing by talking to him and letting him tell you how he really felt, I'm glad he felt he was able to do that. One problem I've noticed with so many boys is that they're taught to hide their emotions, that they're "not man enough if they show how they feel". I do agree that a man has to learn to be strong because he will one day be the rock of his family, and Lord knows us women can cry and be emotional lol. But while growing up and maturing they need to understand that expressing their thoughts and feelings is VERY important. As they get older they need to be able to share that with their wife too. My fiance is very strong, and not many people see him upset, but he knows he can come to me and tell me everything that bothers him, and cry if need be. We built that comfort and trust with each other from the beginning. I'm not a psychologist, but my advice would be this: Let your son know that he can ALWAYS talk to you, that you are not gonna think less of him as a man if he cries ever now and then. Tell him you still cry sometimes too, thats part of the healing process (And don't be afraid to cry with him, seeing your emotions will reassure him that its ok to be upset). Don't ask him every other day how he's feeling and if he's okay though, because as a young teenager you'll just be that 'annoying dad' lol, but do ask occasionally, especially if he hasn't said anything in a long time. And bring your wife, his mother, up in conversation. Recall fond memories of her with a laugh and a smile. That lets him know you haven't forgotten her either. I don't know what else you can do, you can put him in counseling but sometimes that backfires, a kid often sees that as "wow my parents don't care enough to talk to me/don't want to deal with me so they stuck me in a room with some shrink, like I'm really gonna tell this dude how i feel?!" But sometimes its helpful so its up to you, I would try being his 'shrink' before I stuck him with a stranger. But the relationship that ya'll will build if you take my earlier advice will benefit both of you for the rest of your lives, he'll come to you for college advice, marriage advice, etc, you could be his best friend. I downloaded Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and discovered my computer could not handle the game. I only have 224mb video card (Intel 82945G) and a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz processor on Windows XP. We have become walking billboards. Have to have the nike shoes with the nike symbol on it and our t shirts. I have two computers both are Windows XP SP3, both have 512MB RAM both have close to the same processor speed (800MHz and 1000Mhz). On the 1kMhz box it has a LOT of programs, was setup years ago and has not been cleaned off....yet going to speedtest.net I show 20Mbs download speeds. On the 800Mhz box that I recently setup for my kid as a learning box and has nearly nothing installed on it, I am only getting 2Mbs to 3Mbs download speed. I thought maybe it could be a problem in the actual network cable so I even tried swapping cables around yet the problem remains on the newly setup XP box. What could cause such a speed difference between two nearly identical machines?

I have two computers both are Windows XP SP3, both have 512MB RAM both have close to the same processor speed (800MHz and 1000Mhz). On the 1kMhz box it has a LOT of programs, was setup years ago and has not been cleaned off....yet going to speedtest.net I show 20Mbs download speeds. On the 800Mhz box that I recently setup for my kid as a learning box and has nearly nothing installed on it, I am only getting 2Mbs to 3Mbs download speed. I thought maybe it could be a problem in the actual network cable so I even tried swapping cables around yet the problem remains on the newly setup XP box. What could cause such a speed difference between two nearly identical machines?
