Ati radeon 4200 to sony trinitron tv 32?

I have a Ati Radeon 4200 video card with DVI and VGA outputs. I am trying to use my Sony Trinitron 32" tv as a second monitor for my computer. I have it hooked up threw a VGA cord the splits into S video and composite cable, I am using composite. I have put in every single setting on my video card to do this and I can never get a good picture. Is this even possible? i am running widows 7 64 bit. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.
