Dose a guy like you or care for you if they call you wonderful?

i said hi to him and he said hello wonderful but he had a serious face on but his voice was soft he sometimes looks at me seriously and some times kindly he said i dident have to be so shy sweet and meek all the time and i got embarassed and looked away (lol i guess i proved his piont) i was just wondering why he would be so nice to me.
